BMW will soon present to the Geneva auto show its new Performance Power Kit for 135i and 335i models. The BMW 135i and 335i both feature 3.0-liter, twin-turbo in-line 6-cylinder engine that comes standard with a 306 HP and torque of 400 Nm (295 lb-ft). The Power Performance Kit BMW boosts that up to 20 kW to 326 and take 450 Nm torque (332 lb-ft) on the automatic gearbox. Manual transmission only gets a bump up to 430 Nm (or 317 lb-ft of torque).
The kit is available for the following BMW models: the 135i Coupé, 135i Cabrio, 335i saloon, 335i Touring, 335i Coupé and 335i Convertible. Improves performance on the 335i Saloon 0.2 seconds from 0 to 100 km / h sprint, coming in at 5.4 seconds. Mid-range acceleration, 80-120 km / h, is half a second faster with the kit.
Besides some software tuning for better management of engine performance Power Kit also an additional heater on the outside of the engine, a fan of high performance on the main radiator, and air flow ducts for help deal with all the extra heat.
Kit's performance of power can also be combined with the BMW 7-speed sports automatic transmission from BMW 335i Coupé and BMW 335i Convertible models.
