2013 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup【Video】

发表者 ddgg 12/9/12

Porsche has unveiled the 2013 911 GT3 Cup race car, which made its official debut on saturday at the automaker’s Night of Champions end of motorsport season celebratory event in Weissach, Germany.

The new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup is powered by a 3.8-litre six-cylinder flat engine that develops 460hp at 7,500rpm, surpassing the predecessor by 10hp. The car is connected to a six-speed dog-type gearbox developed by Porsche Motorsport that is operated via steering wheel-mounted shift paddles.

For the first time on a Supercup racer, the six-speed dog-type gearbox is operated via steering wheel mounted shift paddles, transmitting its power to the rear axle. Centre-mounted single piece race wheels are new and the width of the Michelin-designed slick tyres has been increased by 2cm at the front (to 27cm) and by 1cm at the rear (now measuring 31 cm).

The 911 GT3 Cup will be priced from €181,200 (excluding VAT) and will compete exclusively in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup beginning next year.

New edition of the world’s most successful race car

Stuttgart. The Porsche 911 GT3 Cup is the most successful race car in the world. Since 1998, 2,395 units of the near standard vehicle for customer sport were produced. The new edition of the 911 GT3 Cup is the motorsports version of the future 911 GT3 and as such is the first race car that is based on the seventh generation of the sports car icon from Zuffenhausen. The 911 GT3 Cup will be run exclusively in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup in 2013. The car for one-make racing made its debut on the occasion of the end of motorsport season “Night of Champions” celebration at the R&D Centre in Weissach.

The new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup is powered by a 3.8-litre six-cylinder flat engine. It generates 460 hp (338 kW) at 7,500 revs, surpassing the predecessor by 10 hp. A six-speed dog-type gearbox developed by Porsche Motorsport which is operated via shift paddles at the steering wheel for the first time in a Porsche brand trophy race car transmits the power to the rear axle. The single piece race wheels with centre mount were also newly designed by Porsche Motorsport. The width of the Michelin race slicks was increased by two centimetres to 27 centimetres at the front and by ten millimetres at the rear axle to now measure 31 centimetres.

A newly developed race braking system further improves the excellent endurance qualities compared to its successful predecessor. The 380 millimetre slotted and inner-vented steel brake rotors at the front axle are decelerated by six-piston aluminium fixed callipers. The rear axle features a four-piston version.
During the development of the new car a particular emphasis was put on the driver safety. A newly designed safety cage protects the pilot in case of a roll or a collision as does a newly developed race seat which is distinctively shaped around the head and shoulders and can be adjusted individually with the help of padding. A rescue hatch in the roof provides easy access for primary medical attention and for the extrication of the driver.

“The new 911 GT3 Cup is much easier to drive at the limit,” says Porsche works driver Timo Bernhard, who was significantly involved in the development of the new vehicle. “The car is excellently balanced. The new axle geometry is enormously positive for the handling. Apart from that the new Cup 911 is great fun to drive.”

Like its predecessor the new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup is produced in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen on the same assembly line as the road legal models. At the Motorsport Centre in Weissach it receives a general set-up for the circuit and is tested by a professional race driver before delivery to the customers. The basic price for the vehicle, which is available exclusively in white, is 181,200 Euro plus the country-specific value added tax.

The 911 Turbo S “Edition 918 Spyder” will be priced at $160,700 for the coupe and $172,100 and for the cabriolet and be delivered in 2011. The Porsche 911 Turbo S Edition 918 Spyder will echoe the plug-in hybrid 918 Spyder 's styling, featuring similar exterior colors, carbon fiber elements, and numerous acid-green accents on items such as the brake calipers, illuminated sill plates, interior stitching, and instrument cluster needles. A limited-edition badge on the glove compartment door will feature the same production number as the customer's 918 Spyder.

Press Release

Porsche's Plug-In Hybrid 918 Spyder Goes from Dream to Reality

Now available for ordering, the 918 Spyder will feature cutting-edge plug-in hybrid technology and stunning performance, forever changing the future of the super sports car

ATLANTA, March 21, 2011 - After outstanding customer response to the concept car first shown at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, Porsche today announced that dealers around the world will begin taking 918 Spyder customer orders. This is a significant step toward actual production of the company's next super sports car, a Porsche that marries unique plug-in hybrid technology and outstanding performance in a visually stunning and purely Porsche package.

The 918 Spyder will feature a high revving 500-plus horsepower V8 engine assisted by two electric motors with a total of at least 218 horsepower, yet Porsche estimates it will consume only 3.0 L/100 km based on the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC). Official EPA fuel economy figures or estimates will be announced just before the first customer cars begin arriving in the United States near the end of 2013.

To ensure the 918 Spyder's worldwide exclusivity, Porsche will produce no more than 918 examples. Start of production at Porsche's famed factory in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen is planned for Sept. 18, 2013 (9/18), and the U.S. base manufacturer's suggested retail price is $845,000 (excluding destination and handling charges).

With its design inspired by past Porsches like the Carrera GT super sports car and the legendary 917 and highly successful RS Spyder race cars, the 918 Spyder remains faithful to the 2010 concept car. Unlike the concept car, the two-seat production version, based on a carbon fiber-reinforced plastic monocoque, will feature a manual roof system with removable panels that can be stored in the front luggage compartment.

Super high performance with very low fuel consumption and emissions

The 918 Spyder will be powered by a unique plug-in hybrid system that will include a high-revving, mid-mounted V8 engine with capacity of more than 4.0 liters and producing at least 500 horsepower. The engine will be based on the Porsche RS Spyder racing engine that demonstrated its impressive performance and efficiency through multiple Michelin Green X Challenge victories in the American Le Mans Series, the Le Mans Series and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Power will be transferred to the rear wheels via Porsche's compact, seven-speed Porsche-Doppelkupplung (PDK) double-clutch gearbox.

Two electric motors - one each on the front and rear axles - together will provide approximately 218 additional horsepower. This configuration also will offer an innovative, variable all-wheel drive system with independent control of the drive forces on both axles. Electrical energy will be stored in a liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery that can be recharged from a standard household outlet. Electric-only driving range is expected to be more than 16 miles on the NEDC. Recharge time will depend on each country's electrical power network, but charging is expected to take about seven hours at 110V/10A in the United States. A quick-charge option is being evaluated to further reduce charging times.

With anticipated combined fuel consumption of just 3.0 L/100 km on the NEDC, this equates to CO2 emissions of only 70 g/km or 112 g/mile. On the other hand, the Porsche 918 Spyder will deliver super sports car performance. It is estimated that the final production version will accelerate from zero to 60 mph in about 3.1 seconds on its way to an estimated top track speed of 199 mph. It should also tackle Germany's famed Nurburgring Nordschleife in less than 7 minutes and 30 seconds, two seconds faster than the Porsche Carrera GT. Under the right conditions, the 918 Spyder will be able to drive on electric power alone at speeds up to 94 mph for limited distances.

Customers who order the 918 Spyder also have the opportunity to acquire a special-edition 911 Turbo S Coupe or Cabriolet. Also limited to no more than 918 units, the 911 Turbo S Edition 918 Spyder will have exterior and interior design elements echoing the plug-in hybrid 918 Spyder supercar's styling. It features similar exterior colors, carbon-fiber elements inside and out, enhanced leather equipment and numerous acid-green accents on items such as the brake calipers, illuminated sill plates, interior stitching and instrument cluster needles. A limited-edition badge on the glove compartment door will feature the same production number as the customer's 918 Spyder.

Worldwide 918 Spyder customers can begin ordering this special edition 911 Turbo S sports car today, and customer deliveries will start later in 2011. The U.S. base manufacturer's suggested retail prices for the Coupe and Cabriolet versions are the same as the standard 911 Turbo S models, $160,700 and $172,100 respectively, excluding destination.

HAMANN GUARDIAN - exclusive Porsche Cayenne power pack with 550 turbo hp

Nothing is impossible - HAMANN sticks to this motto when presenting its extensive parts programme for the current Porsche Cayenne Turbo. Already since 1986, the company based in Laupheim develops products for refining sporty automobiles. The HAMANN technicians thereby draw their knowledge from hundreds of successful motor sports races. The competence gained there is the basis for the HAMANN refining programme. This results in powerful performance enhancements, aerodynamic components reducing uplifting forces and a firm sports brake system. Striking XXL light alloy rims and most precious interior modifications made of aluminium and carbon further extend the product range.

Haute Couture for Porsche SUV

With its new designer outfit, the HAMANN GUARDIAN turns into a striking eye-catcher for on- and off-road driving pleasures. Tailor made production and perfect surfaces underline the quality of the HAMANN aerodynamics kit. The far more extended front apron with larger air inlets is the core component of the dynamic front.

Integrated additional daylight running lights as well as full beam and fog lights in LED technology increase the passive safety. An ultra-light carbon bonnet with a slit "power dome" renders optimal ventilation of the front engine. The HAMANN GUARDIAN draws its virility from wing extensions with side skirts which extend the car by impressive 120 millimetres at the front axle and 160 millimetres at the back. The HAMANN rear apron with an integrated diffuser perfects the superior appearance and provides room for the two central stainless steel end pipes measuring 120 millimetres in width, the highlight of the sonorous sports exhaust system.

Rich V-Sound renders pleasant goose pimples

Apart from excellent sound, the Southern German refiner puts special emphasis on an extensive performance increase. By combining the HAMANN components sports silencer, sports catalysts, sports air filter and an optimized engine map, a performance increase to 550 hp / 405 kW at 6,100 r.p.m. can be achieved. Also, the torque rises to enormous 770 Newton metres at 2,300 - 4,600 r.p.m. The modified Porsche-SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in only 4.6 seconds and increases its top speed up to 300 km/h.

MOV´IT CERAMIC sports brake and XXL designer wheels

The HAMANN GUARDIAN presents excellent deceleration measures due to a CERAMIC sports brake system which was developed in combination with MOV´IT. Brake discs measuring 420 x 40 mm (in the front) and 380 x 32 mm (in the back) are clamped by six front piston calipers and four rear piston calipers.

As the maximum wheel-tyre combination, the refining specialist recommends the ultra-light 11Jx23 inch rims Unique Forged which at that range are suitable for Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres sized 315/25 R23 and render a powerful, individual look. The virile appearance can be further enhanced by HAMANN underbody components. A sports module has been developed especially for the Cayenne´s air suspension and thanks to this serial enhancement, the HAMANN Guardian can be lowered by up to 35 mm.

SUV with luxury ambience

HAMANN solely uses first class materials for its interior designs. Masterly stitched embroideries on the dash board and the seats further emphasise the beautiful overall impression of the full leather equipment. The ergonomically re-designed airbag steering wheel renders a comfortable grip. But this is not all: carbon component parts enhance the instruments and the centre consoles.

The Porsche Cayenne by company Mansory has first choice for refining exclusive top class automobiles and powerful super sports cars.

On the styling front, the widebody kit is constructed out of carbon fiber and consists of a new hood, modified fascias, revised side skirts, and wheel arch extensions. Out back, there's a prominent diffuser and two rear spoilers. Furthermore, the car is equipped with 22-inch forged alloy wheels and a sport module for the air suspension which can lower the ride height by 45mm.

Under the bonnet, Mansory Switzerland upgrades the Cayenne Turbo's 4.8-liter V8 with larger turbo chargers, a custom exhaust system, reprogrammed ECU and other mods resulting to an output of 690HP and 800Nm of peak torque at 4,800 rpm for a 0 to 100km/h (62mph) sprint time of 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 300km/h (186 mph).

Therefore, the 4WD car accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in only 4.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 300 km/h (serial model: 278 km/h) If desired, the SUV´s centre of gravity can be lowered by 45 millimetres. design and wheels fully forged 10×22 inch mono block rims in turbine design and wheels measuring 295/30/22 perfectly fit under the extended mudguards. the Porsche Cayenne are improved. Further exclusive rim designs from 21 to 23 inches complete the wheel programme.

MANSORY Switzerland AG presents its latest Porsche Cayenne broad version

For more than 20 years, the company MANSORY is the first choice for refining exclusive top class automobiles and powerful super sports cars. The focus is both on optimisations which underline the dynamic character of the car as well as measures for refining the exclusive equipment. The subsidiary MANSORY Switzerland AG also follows this path with its newly designed individualisation programme for the current Porsche Cayenne.

Produced at the highest technical level, combined with masterly finishes and most precious materials - that is the quality targeted by MANSORY Switzerland for its Porsche Cayenne broad version. Harmonically designed aerodynamics components, ultra-light aluminium rims and powerful engine enhancements are the basis. High-quality accessories and stylish interior parts complete the choice. No matter if the customer wishes for a significant, extravagant or noble touch, MANSORY interiors render exclusiveness and sovereignty.

For its extensive body modifications, MANSORY relies on modern production processes and uses the material carbon which is both ultra-light and also highly stable and the highly resistant material polyurethane-RIM. Front- or rear apron, side skirts, bonnet or mudguards extending the vehicle by 60 mm in the front and 80 mm in the back, all parts are produced in light-weight design. The carbon bonnet for example is hardened under immense pressure and high temperatures in autoclave.

The MANSORY broad version combines an elaborate aerodynamics wrapped into a spectacular appearance: large air inlets at the newly designed front render perfect fresh air ventilation for the engine. Striking daytime running lights increase the passive security and enhance the dynamic look.

In addition to the breathtaking appearance, the MANSORY engine department developed a powerful performance increase for the 4.8 litre turbo engine. The power pack consists of amended engine electronics, larger turbo chargers and a stainless steel sports exhaust system. Thanks to these measures, the engine performance rises to impressive 690 hp / 507 kW (serial model: 500 hp / 368 kW) and propels the torque to 800 Nm at 4,800 r.p.m. Therefore, the 4WD car accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in only 4.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 300 km/h (serial model: 278 km/h).

Fully forged 10x22 inch mono block rims in turbine design and wheels measuring 295/30/22 perfectly fit under the extended mudguards. As MANSORY rims are produced in forged technology, they are extremely light and due to the reduced unsprung masses, not only handling and acceleration, but also braking response of the Porsche Cayenne are improved. Further exclusive rim designs from 21 to 23 inches complete the wheel programme.
The MANSORY sports module for controlling the air suspension additionally enhances the XXL sized wheels. If desired, the SUV´s centre of gravity can be lowered by 45 millimetres.
