Koenigsegg Agera R Specifications

发表者 ddgg 3/18/11

The Swedish supercar manufacturer Koenigsegg has released the full specifications of the Koenigsegg Agera R, which was revealed at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show a few weeks ago. The specification list includes all the information and states a three year warranty which we did not share with you up this moment.

The Koenigsegg Agera R will be powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine that generates up to 1,115 hp at 6,900 rpm when powered by E85 ethanol. However, these numbers change 940 hp when the vehicle runs on 95 Octane petrol and 1,050 hp when running on 98 Octane petrol.

According to the Swedish supercar maker, the Agera R will accelerate to 62-mph from a standstill in a mere 2.9 seconds, while 124-mph is just around the corner in 7.5 seconds. And for those wondering how its braking performance is, the Agera R turns in a 0-124-0 time in 12.7 seconds.

Inside, the cabin is outfitted with leather upholstery, power windows, GPS navigation, and a premium audio system with iPod / USB connectivity. If that isn't impressive enough, options include heated seats, four-point racing harnesses, a rear view camera, and a 'naked' carbon fiber body.

Koenigsegg Launched Configurator

发表者 ddgg 3/23/10

Koenigsegg has launched a new online configurator for the new 910 hp Agera supercar, so potential customers can customize their multi-million dollar vehicle in advance before writing the check. It’s rather pointless honestly, because the only people who use such things are jobless nerds! Those who got Agera kind of money don’t have time for crawling the web for this and trying all the colors and stuff. Anyhow, this configurator is really cool. It even has the Top Gear Wing option!

The standard Agera engine is a 4.7-litre twin turbo V8 making a healthy 669 kW (910 PS / 898 bhp) and 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft) of torque, giving it a 0 - 100 km/h sprint time of 3.1 seconds and a top speed of around 390 km/h (245 mph).

The interior leather can be configured in one of ten colours and features techno gadgets like USB connectivity and satellite navigation.

The configurator allows a choice of three wheel types, including a black one, plus eleven exterior paint colours such as Sparkling Topaz and Emerald Green. Three robotised rear wing types can be had. They include an F1 Double Wing and a Top Gear wing.

Geneva Preview: Koenigsegg Agera

发表者 ddgg 2/27/10

Just when we thought the Geneva Motor Show couldn't get any more insane with all of these pre-releases, the team at GTSpirit have pounced on the interwebz with these first photos of Koenigsegg's newest creation, the Agera.

It's obvious that Koenigsegg didn't want to mess with a winning formula, so the Agera is more of an evolution of the CCXs that came before it, with a similar greenhouse and the same dimensions (169-inches long, 78.6-inches wide and 44.1-inches tall) as the outgoing supercar. The new front and rear fascias ditch some of the aging angularity of the previous iterations, and the new LED headlamps and hood are decidedly more racy.

Same as the CCX again, the top is removable and stores away under the bonnet. The body structure is still pre-impregnated carbon fibre/kevlar with a flat floor tray containing Venturi tunnels towards the rear. The chassis also remains aluminum honeycomb reinforced carbon fiber with an adjustable suspension.

And as Koenigsegg has learned over the last 10 years, it's all about the little things. In addition to the bespoke sequential gearbox and carbon ceramic brakes, the exhaust is made entirely of Inconel, the fuel tanks are mounted on either side to optimize weight and balance, and the carbon fiber and kevlar body work, combined with the flat underbody tray, allow the Agera to produce 661 pounds of downforce at 155 mph. Oh, and there's custom luggage too.

Koenisegg Quant konsepti

A report from Swedish news service Realtid is providing some clues as to what are Koenigsegg's plans now that they will be buying the Saab brand.

Sebastian Geisler / Koenigsegg Quant Concept in Geneva

Those intentions, in summary, are the acquisition of Saab's manufactuing ability in order to produce a production version of the NLV Quant concept car that they showed at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year.

Sebastian Geisler / Koenigsegg Quant Concept in Geneva

Koenigsegg's Quant concept claims to have a range of 500 km (311 miles) and the ability to fully recharge its batteries in 20 minutes. That's quite a declaration given the current state of battery technology. One that warrants some skepticism. What's more, Koenigsegg and NLV Solar have said that the batteries do not degrade and can be re-charged an infinite amount of times. The car comes covered in photovoltaic panels (solar) and with regenerative breaking to help keep the batteries juiced.

Koenigsegg Quant Concept

Saab had a production volume of 130,000 cars in 2006, and Koenigseggs goal under the business plan is that level is again to be attained in 2011, before rebounding to 150,000 cars per year.

Koenigsegg Quant Concept

Still, all very interesting. If a car maker today could really build an electric car with a 500 km range and a 20 minute re-charge time, they've got something to sell.

Koenigsegg Quant Concept

We have to take such reports with a grain of salt but there may be something to what the source of the report is telling Realtid. It could be that Koenigsegg has seized on the opportunity to buy Saab for a song, get government guarantees in the form of loans, and use the money and infrastructure to beat competitor Tesla to the production floor. Tesla is currently applying for government loans in the US in order to begin production on its 5-seat electric sedan model.

Koenigsegg Quant

Power numbers on the Quandt are the electrical equivalent of 512 hp and 715 Nm of torque. Top speed is 275 km/h. Okay, gotcha.

Koenigsegg Quant Concept

But the plan also includes maintaining the Saab lineup, with the 9-3 and 9-5 models being produced at the automaker's main plant in Trollhättan, Sweden, as well as a new 9-4X model to be produced in Mexico. Where the Quant fits into all this remains a huge question.

While this approach makes use of Koenigsegg Geneva salon in order to present the news. And it is no bad news coming in - a brand new car! Quant model is to not talk so much, it may be a new sports sedan?

We only have a single, dark picture of new Koenigegg Quant - but it is more than compensated for bringing interest. Some details, we must not, more than that it is a completely new model. CLICK FOR LARGE

We simply turn up and down on Koenigseggs press release, beginning with the most interesting: Quant! It is an entirely new "platform", a model that will expand the program beyond the model CCX and CCXR.
Koenigsegg do not want to tell you some details and pictures straight from the front reveals not so much. What we know is that since before Koenigsegg beset by persistent rumors that sketch out plans for a sports sedan. The car should be - according to rumors - have advanced lightweight chassis with carbon fiber and much room for four people. But Quant look, admittedly a bit too small for four, if not now picture angle fooled. We may give us a say, the Geneva-lounge opening on 2nd March, we further details.

The interior has been partially redesigned with the touch screen near the top in the middle and paddles on the steering wheel. The new transmission is a two-link mechanism that provides very rapid shifts of gears. CLICK FOR LARGE

A little more detailed Koenigsegg is on the new transmission to be offered to the CCX model. It is a double coupling box which is therefore capable of holding two kuggväxlar of interventions at the same time and switch rapidly, Koenigsegg stated that the parcel is 30 milliseconds. The box is also shorter and lighter than the previous transmission. Fluctuations with paddles mounted on the steering wheel, which is the optimal solution according to Koenigsegg.
The new double coupling box also contains an electronically controlled differential braking. Diffbromsen will give a slightly less brutal interference and make the car easier to drive on the limit.

Touch screen provides a simple navigation between the various functions. Here, the most regulated and the system is also designed so that you can add new features as needed.

A third news from Koenigsegg is a new multimedia system with touch screen. The system includes navigation, Bluetooth connectivity to mobile phones, climate control, music, iPod synchronization, and also able to follow the power, torque, lap times and other performance data. The new multimedia system is possible to upgrade by hand and can be programmed with new features. One of the new features is that you can see the mixture of the E85 fuel and how it affects the engine power.
