The most noteable changes to the new 3-Series are at the front and the rear styling, which are inspired by its big sister, the 7 Series. The front is more dynamic thanks to a sculpted hood and heavily revised and profiled bumper. The headlights have seen a slight revision too and the trademark BMW kidney grille no longer features chrome tip on the top each of the grille. The rear gets new tail lights with the same asymmetric treatement as the new 7 Series, along with newly shaped truck lid and redesigned bumper.


Barely a week after unveling the all new 7-Series, BMW have now reveled the mid-cycle facelifte of its hot selling 3-Series. The car and the touring models will be unveiled at the upcoming Paris motor show in October and the sales will commence soon afterwards.


Not to be left out, the interior also receives a number of minor modifications and enhancements, most striking being the larger 8.8 inch color monitor with four selection buttons, it is aimed at making the difficult-to-use iDrive system easier to use. Other features include a modified arm rest making the electric window buttons easier to access and a new optional 80-gigabyte harddisk.


Moving on to the rear of the vehicle reveals the modified taillights, the fender section of the taillight has been left untouched but the section built into the trunk lid has been redesigned to give it a more striking look. Additionally the rear has received a redesigned bumper and rear track which further emphasize the model's width.


The insides get new trim combinations, a modified arm rest and an updated version of the BMW iDrive with a large 8.8 inch high resolution screen with four selector buttons aka Audi to make it easier to use. Other features include a revised arm rest position which makes it easier to operate electric windows and an option 80 GB hard drive for multimedia content.
