This is Volkswagen's 'other' coupé. The four-door Passat CC may have been introduced first, but it seems likely that the Golf-based Scirocco is going to overshadow it if there's to be any kind of must buy VW fastback. Which is a shame, as the CC is a great car.
No idea what Veedub was thinking with that name though. Why build a fixed-head coupe, then burden it with initials associated with folding hardtop coupé-convertibles? Nevermind. Attractively swoopy, strong-jawed and distinguished, it drives well, offers decent comfort levels and boasts a choice of petrol and diesel turbo engines, plus a 3.6-litre petrol V6.
