Gazoo Racing has released the details for the GRMN Sports FR Concept Platinum, which will debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon.
Based on the Toyota GT-86 (or Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ as we know it here in America), and built by Toyota's motorsports and tuning agency, Gazoo Racing, the concept reprises a similar car shown earlier this year.
The concept weighs in at 2,751 pounds (1248kg), is driven by a 6 speed manual with a new limited slip differential and has upgraded brakes, suspension, and wheels/tires.
Power will be provided by a twin-charged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops approximately 330 HP (242 kW) and 431 Nm (318 lb-ft) of torque. It will be connected to a six-speed manual transmission which sends power to the rear wheels via a limited slip differential. Other highlights include a sport-tuned suspension, high-performance brakes and a dual exhaust.
The interior boasts a safety roll cage, additional instrumentation – including a boost gauge, water temperature gauge, oil temperature gauge and white leather seats with four-point harnesses.
