
In order to celebrate its memorable Le Mans victory back in 1991, Japanese automaker Mazda is launching a special edition of Mazda MX-5 roadster called The MX-5 ’55 Le Mans’ . The name was chosen after the Mazda 787B No.55 was won the 24-hours of Le Mans race back in 1991.
2011 Mazda MX-5 ’55 Limited Edition is available in four exterior colors with contrasting profile stripes that extend to the bumpers. The car is equipped with a limited slip differential (LSD), a Bilstein sports suspension, a front strut bar and 10-spoke alloy wheels. The bespoke ‘55 Le Mans’ logos and a numbered plaque in the interior round off the limited changes over the standard model.
MX-5 ’55 Le Mans produce in limited number that only sales in Swiss market. This car is based from Mazda MX-5 2.0-liter model that can produce 160 horsepower that paired with 6-speed manual transmission. This car also come with Bilstein sports suspension with 10-spoke alloy wheels, and limited slip differential (LSD). This car come with the ‘55 Le Mans’ logos will available in 4 option, but Mazda not disclose the price of Mazda MX-5 ’55 Le Mans.
