In short, this small symbol shows the strength of design as a concept to "useful things beautiful": a value that characterizes the entire range of Fiat Professional.
Load compartment large and functional
Although compact external dimensions, the new Panda has a spacious cargo compartment and rational - the volume is about 1 cubic meter (for the version with 2 seats) and the maximum inner length can exceed 1.2 meters - which characterized by the adoption of an innovative platform " floor easy . "
In fact, with the new Panda Van, Fiat Professional overcomes the inherent limitations of small commercial vehicles "Car Derived" introducing for the first time that this solution eliminates the gap between cargo and wire the tailgate so you can easily load the same way a "real" commercial vehicle. At the same time, the ' easy floor provides ample space under the floor to keep your valuables by removing them from prying eyes. Among other things, it is possible to access the underlying spaces comfortably lifting the platform, which in turn may be maintained in the open position by means of a coupling to the bulkhead.
Another novelty of the cargo floor is made of plastic honeycomb that provides better performance in terms of strength, durability and sound absorption, besides providing a lighter weight and greater respect for the environment (on the previous Panda Van was used in the plywood). In addition, more than its predecessor, the new Panda Van has been improved both accessibility from the rear hatch - for example, have reduced the overhead bin on the present version of the car - the protection of the inner sides of the cargo through the adoption of a coating material needled. To illuminate the compartment is standard a ceiling light, placed on the roof and, upon request, you can have additional side removable ceiling that can be used as a torch which is recharged when connected to its fixed support.
Finally, to further emphasize the character of a commercial vehicle, new Panda Van features a robust bulkhead to protect driver and passengers from loads spilling over into the cabin. In particular, there are two different types of bulkhead separation - a specification for version 2 seats and the other specifies the version 4 places - besides taking four strong rings for holding the goods in accordance with DIN 75410 - 2.
The interior retains all the features instead of the Panda in "car" offering the convenience pleasant as useful even to those who use the cabin as a "traveling office". In addition, the customer benefits from Panda Van attention given to ergonomics, acoustic comfort, temperature and vibration as well as all content provided on request, including the modern audio-telematic system that includes radio with CD/MP3 player and Kit Hands-free Bluetooth (Blue & Me).
Efficient, reliable engines for any mission
The new Panda Van is also synonymous with 'efficiency and productivity "and the customer will result in operating costs (fuel consumption, servicing intervals and repair costs) really low, associated with good acceleration and elasticity at low speeds even with a full load. Achieved by the two Euro 5 engines available: the 69 bhp 1.2 petrol and turbodiesel 1.3 Multijet 75 bhp.
In particular, the 1.3 16v Multijet - the smallest and most advanced diesel engines with direct injection "Common Rail" second generation - highlights a significant reduction in consumption (3.9 l/100 km in the NEDC combined cycle compared to 4, 2 l/100 km of the previous generation) and, consequently, emissions (the CO 2 is only 104 g / km compared to the 109 g / km of the previous model).
Combined with a 5-speed manual gearbox, the diesel delivers a 75 bhp (55 kW at 4000 r / min) of maximum power and torque of 19.4 kgm (190 Nm at 1500 r / min), ensuring excellent performance: the Top speed is 168 km / h.
Compact and technologically sophisticated, the 1.3 16v Multijet engine is a part for the environment thanks to innovative solutions for the treatment of exhaust gases which trap particulate DPF-Ups (Close Coupled Diesel Particulate Filter) and EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) integrated , which improves control of temperature and gas flow, simultaneously guaranteeing lower emissions and reduced fuel consumption. The 1.3 Multijet 16v, 75 of the new Panda Van offers standard start-stop device that temporarily turns off the engine and restarts it in order to reduce fuel consumption and emissions of CO 2 .
Complete range of engines the 1.2 69 bhp EVO II, the latest evolution of the FIRE family that boasts over 10 million units produced. The engine was developed paying particular attention to performance and fuel consumption as shown by the power of 69 hp at 5500 r / min and torque of 102 Nm at 3,000 g / min. Coupled with a five-speed manual gearbox, the engine is brilliant (the maximum speed is 164 km / h) but at the same time sparing: NEDC combined cycle consumes 5.2 l/100 km with only 120 g / km CO 2 .
In the coming months, the range of Panda Van will be expanded with the introduction of the 4x4 versions available-0.9 TwinAir Turbo engines with 85 bhp and 75 bhp 1.3 Multijet 16V - 0.9 TwinAir Turbo engines and Natural Power 80 bhp (petrol / methane) and 1.2 easypower 69 bhp (petrol / LPG). In particular, the integral transmission to enable the automatic insertion Panda Van to meet the needs of those users - for example fleets - which must ensure that transport and mobility in all conditions. And in keeping with the constant attention paid by Fiat Professional towards sustainable urban mobility, the bi-fuel engines Panda Van exceed the compromises typical of these variants due to the solution " easy floor "that allows you to keep the same load capacity of the vehicle 'Origin: 1,000 liters in volume.
Suspension and strong capacity in their class
The new Panda can count on a robust and reliable suspension layout: MacPherson strut front, torsion beam rear to provide excellent dynamic performance and great handling. The particular tuning specific to the version Van, with loads allowed up to 855 kg front and up to 780 kg at the rear allows you to have a capacity including the driver at the top of the class: up to 500 kg. This performance, combined with the characteristics of the load, we can say that the new Panda Van is not a simple derivation from the car, but a "real" commercial vehicle compact. All this without forgetting the pleasure of driving, which is always one of the strengths of the Fiat Professional range.
Safety First class
Even with regard to the new Panda Security Van is at the top of its class. This is demonstrated by a wealth of standard features that, in addition to an excellent performance braking system with ABS complete with BAS (Brake Assist System), includes 4 standard airbags (front and side), and front seatbelts with pretensioners and force limiters load. Furthermore, depending on the market and version, is available as standard or optional ESC (Electronic Stability Control) including hill-holder system that helps the driver on hill starts keeping locked the brakes for about 2 seconds, thus facilitating the re-start .
Functionality and attention to detail for maximum passenger comfort
The new generation of Panda provides maximum comfort regardless of the location or operational mission to fulfill. Merit, for example, the large windows that provide outstanding overall visibility. Similarly, the seats comfortable and snug, have numerous adjustments that allow anyone to find the riding position more comfortable and accurate, thanks to the steering wheel adjustment (height and depth) and that of the front head "active" reduce whiplash in a collision.
Numerous storage compartments allow you to store personal and business documents, in particular, within the new bridge is now used as a handy "pocket" glove that adds to the classic locked drawer at the bottom of the dashboard. Another novelty of stylistic and functional new Panda that is most useful in the van version, is the particular shape of the parking brake which, thanks to its reduced longitudinal dimensions, allows to better exploit the space in front of and behind the lever, in addition to making accessible the surface directly below it. In short, all of these solutions transform the interior of Panda Van in a real workplace.
